01 · What we do

One crew for the whole project

Most remodels are not one trade. A bathroom is demolition, plumbing, tile, drywall, paint, and trim. A new patio is dirt work, forms, concrete, and cleanup. We do anything and everything on that list, so you are not the one chasing four contractors and hoping their schedules line up.

  • Concrete driveways & patios

Driveways, patios, sidewalks, slabs, and steps. New pours, resealing, and crack repair, with the base prepped and the joints cut where the slab needs them.

  • Drywall repair & texture matching

Holes, settling cracks, and water-damaged ceilings patched and textured to match the wall that is already there, so the repair disappears.

  • Interior painting

Whole houses or a single room. Cleaned, patched, caulked, and primed first, then cut in clean and rolled out even.

  • Exterior painting

Siding, trim, doors, and fascia prepped and painted to hold up to Oklahoma sun, wind, and hail.

  • Flooring installation

Vinyl plank, carpet, hardwood, tile, and laminate, including subfloor repair and fast turnarounds on rental units.

  • Roofing

Roof repairs and replacement, plus the flashing and trim details that cause most leaks.

  • Landscaping

Beds, borders, plantings, cleanup, and the dirt work that goes with new concrete.

  • Plumbing

Leaking valves, supply lines, fixtures, and the water damage that comes after them.

  • Electrical

Outlets, switches, fixtures, and the wiring that goes with a remodel.

  • Bathroom remodeling

Full bathroom rebuilds, walk-in showers, and tub-to-shower conversions.

  • Kitchen remodeling

Cabinets, counters, backsplash, flooring, and the plumbing and wiring behind them.

  • Tile backsplash

Kitchen and bar backsplashes laid straight, grouted clean, and sealed.

  • Fencing

New fence builds, replacement panels, posts reset, and gates that shut right.

  • Window installation

Replacement windows set square, sealed, and trimmed inside and out.

  • Woodwork & carpentry

Trim, doors, shelving, cabinets, decking, and custom built-ins.

  • Tile

Floors, showers, tub surrounds, and entryways in ceramic, porcelain, or stone.

  • Demolition

Interior demo and tear-out for remodels: walls, cabinets, tubs, flooring, small structures and slabs, hauled off when we are done.

02 · How we do it

The part you cannot see is the part that fails

Almost every complaint we hear about a previous contractor is about something underneath: prep that got skipped, waterproofing that was never there, a texture nobody bothered to match. Here is how we handle the parts that decide whether the work is still good in ten years.

  • Concrete that cracks where we tell it to

Concrete moves. The question is whether it moves along a control joint or straight across the middle of your patio. We prep and compact the base, set the steel, and cut the joints where the slab wants to relieve itself. Oklahoma soil shifts, so the work has to plan for it instead of pretending it will not happen.

  • Texture that disappears into the wall

The complaint we hear most about drywall work is that the patch sticks out like a sore thumb. Matching an existing texture is its own skill: knockdown, orange peel, and skip trowel all read differently once the light hits them. We match to the wall that is already there, not to whatever is fastest to spray.

  • Tile that is waterproof behind the pretty part

A shower fails behind the tile, not on it. Backer board gets set in mortar and screwed down, seams and corners get waterproofed, and the niche gets laid out to the tile lines before the first piece goes on instead of being cut in as an afterthought.

  • Paint over prep, not over dirt

Most paint that fails early failed at prep. Surfaces get cleaned, patched, caulked, and primed where primer is called for. It is the slow part of a paint job and it is the part that decides whether you are repainting in two years or in ten.

  • You hear about surprises before we touch them

Rotted subfloor, a hidden leak, wiring that is not to code. We find these things on remodels. When we do, work stops and you get a call with what it is and what it costs, before it becomes a line item you did not agree to.

  • The site is clean when we leave it

Trades have a reputation for leaving a mess for somebody else. We haul off the debris, sweep up, and put the room back. The job is not finished when the work is finished, it is finished when you cannot tell we were there except for the work itself.

05 · Who you are hiring

“I can make your visions come to reality.”

That is Jimmy Garces Jr., and he means it literally. He is the one who shows up for the estimate, and he is the one on the job while it is being built. When a client wanted their patio extended, resealed, cracks filled, and a TV hung, he did all of it, then helped them set up the furniture too, because that is what finishing a job actually looks like.

Home improvements inside, outside, concrete, drywall, paint, tile, showers, walk-in showers. Whatever you need, tell him what you are picturing and he will tell you honestly what it takes to get there.

06 · Where we work

The OKC metro, plus about an hour out

We work across the Oklahoma City metro and roughly an hour's drive in any direction. If your address sits past that ring it is still worth a call or a text, because plenty of jobs are worth the drive. We are a service-area business, which is a formal way of saying we come to you. There is no showroom to visit and no appointment desk to get past. Tell us the address and we will drive out.

When people usually call us

You do not have to know what the fix is called. Most people who call are somewhere in this list.

  • The last guy did it wrong

A patch that never matched, a slab that cracked in a year, tile that is already loose. We get called to fix other people's work often enough that it is its own category. Tell us what went wrong and we will tell you honestly whether it needs repair or redoing.

  • You just bought an older house

Fifties and sixties houses around the metro come with original bathrooms, no waterproofing behind the tile, settled foundations, and layers of old flooring. We walk it with you and sort out what actually needs to happen first.

  • A tenant moved out

Turnovers are on a clock. Flooring, paint, drywall patching, and a clean handoff so you can list the unit again. Landlords and property managers get the same free written estimate as anybody else, and we work to your turnaround.

  • Water or storm damage

Oklahoma weather finds the weak spot. Leaks, damaged ceilings, soaked flooring, and the repairs that follow. Bring us in early and the repair stays small.

  • It has been bugging you for a year

The ceiling stain, the fence post leaning, the bathroom you stopped using. Small jobs are real jobs here. No project is too small to call about.

Why homeowners call us back

  • You reach Jimmy directly. Call or text and you get the person who will be doing the work, usually the same day, not a dispatcher and not a callback next week.
  • The estimate is free and it is written down, so you know the number before anything starts.
  • One company covers the whole job. Concrete out front and a bathroom in back can be the same project.
  • We tell you when we find something extra, before we touch it. Rotted subfloor and hidden leaks do not become surprise line items.
  • Small jobs still get answered. A single patched ceiling is a real call, not a nuisance.
  • We clean up after ourselves. The job is not done when the work is done, it is done when the site is clear.
  • You can see the work before you commit. The before and after photos on this page are Jimmy's own jobs around the metro, and we can put you in touch with the people we did them for.

Questions homeowners ask first

Nothing. Estimates are free on every job, inside or outside, large or small. We come out, look at the work, and give you a written price. There is no fee for the visit and no obligation to hire us.

The whole OKC metro plus about an hour's drive in any direction: Oklahoma City, Edmond, Moore, Norman, Yukon, Mustang, Midwest City, Del City, Bethany, Warr Acres, and the smaller towns in between. Past that hour it is still worth a call or a text. If the job is worth the drive we will say so.

Both. We do full kitchen and bathroom remodels and whole-house repaints, and we also patch a ceiling, reset a fence post, fix a leaking washer valve, or pour a small pad. No job is too small to call about.

Anything and everything on a house, in Jimmy's own words. Remodeling, concrete, interior and exterior painting, demolition and tear-out, drywall and texture, flooring, roofing, landscaping, plumbing, electrical, bathroom and kitchen remodeling, tile and backsplash, fencing, window installation, and carpentry. Inside the house or outside it.

Yes, and that is usually how it goes. A bathroom remodel is plumbing, tile, drywall, paint, and trim in one project. We handle the whole thing instead of leaving you to line up four different companies and hope their schedules match.

Fair question, and it is the one we would ask too. Shekinah Renovations is a newer company, but Jimmy is not new to the trade. He started at fourteen, learned it from his stepdad, and has been doing this work ever since. The photos and video on this site are his own jobs around the OKC metro, not stock images, and we are glad to put you in touch with people we have worked for. He is also the one who shows up for the estimate and the one on site while the work happens, so you are dealing with one person start to finish.

Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. For the trades that are licensed by the Construction Industries Board, Jimmy has applications in progress and we will say so plainly rather than claim otherwise. If a job requires a licensed plumber, electrician, or registered roofer, we bring in the right trade partner for that portion. Ask us about any specific job and you will get a straight answer.

Usually the same day. Call or text (405) 532-3348 and it goes straight to Jimmy. If he is on a job site with his hands full he will text back as soon as he is off it. We know most people call three contractors and hire whoever actually answers.

Call or text (405) 532-3348, either one is fine, or send the details through the estimate form on this site. Tell us what you want done and roughly where you are, and we will set a time to come look at it.
