Del City grew in the late 1940s and 1950s alongside Tinker Air Force Base, and most of its housing is from that period: compact single story homes, often under 1,200 square feet, with one bathroom, a small kitchen and a detached or single car garage. Seventy years later, the finishes are original or close to it in a lot of these houses. Tubs are chipped, tile is loose, floors have taken on water, wiring has been extended more than once, and drain lines are original cast iron. Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. For the trades the Construction Industries Board does license, Jimmy has applications in progress and we will tell you that plainly rather than imply otherwise. Where a job requires a licensed plumber, electrician, or registered roofer, we bring in the right trade partner for that portion. Ask about your specific job and you will get a straight answer.
