Chain Link Fence Installation in Oklahoma City
A chain link fence keeps your yard secure while standing up to Oklahoma’s wind and hail. Whether you need a boundary for your dog, privacy between neighbors, or a commercial lot barrier, we install heavy-duty systems built for local conditions. Our team sets posts in 24-inch-deep concrete footings to prevent shifting in clay soil, then tension the mesh for a taut, long-lasting finish.

What Materials Do You Use for Chain Link Fences?
We use #9 or #11 gauge galvanized steel chain link fabric for residential projects, with black vinyl coating available for added durability. Posts are 2x4 or 2x6 steel tubes, hot-dipped galvanized to resist rust. Gates include 2x4 steel frames with reinforced hinges and latch hardware. All components meet ASTM standards for tensile strength, ensuring they hold up through Oklahoma’s freeze-thaw cycles and high winds.
How Do You Secure Posts Against Oklahoma Wind?
In the OKC metro, we dig 24-inch-deep post holes with 12 inches of 4000-psi concrete in the base. Posts are centered in the hole and stabilized with 2x4 wooden braces until the concrete cures. For commercial installations, we use 36-inch-deep footings with rebar reinforcement. This method prevents uplift during wind events and resists heaving from clay soil expansion.

Galvanized steel is ideal for high-traffic areas or commercial sites where abrasion resistance matters. Black vinyl coating adds UV protection and prevents the fence from becoming a rust hazard in moist conditions. Vinyl-coated fences also reduce snag risks for pets and children. We’ll help you decide based on your site’s exposure to sun, soil, and daily use patterns.
Can You Install Gates with Custom Openings?
Yes. We build sliding, swinging, or bi-fold gates to fit openings from 3 to 10 feet wide. For residential gates, we add 3-point latching systems and anti-tamper hardware. Commercial gates include deadbolt locks and 304 stainless steel components. All gates are counterbalanced with springs or weights to ensure smooth operation, even in heavy snow or ice.
Is Chain Link Suitable for Dog Runs or Commercial Sites?
Chain link is perfect for dog containment when paired with 3-foot-tall bottom boards to prevent digging. For commercial lots, we use heavier #6 gauge mesh and 2x6 posts to withstand vehicle impacts or vandalism. We also install tension wires every 6 feet on large commercial fences to maintain alignment over time. The system remains low-maintenance while meeting OKC municipal height and setback requirements.
Fences fail at the posts
Panels are the part you see and the part that almost never fails first. A leaning fence is a post problem, and post problems start on day one.
Posts set deep enough for Oklahoma wind and clay
Shallow posts in expansive clay move with every wet and dry cycle, and then the wind finishes the job. Depth and footing get sized to the fence height and the soil rather than to whatever is fastest.
Concrete footings, crowned to shed water
Footings get crowned at the top so water runs away from the post instead of pooling against it. Standing water at the base is what rots wood posts and rusts steel ones.
Gates built to keep swinging
Gates are the moving part and the part that gets abused. They get braced against sag and hung on hardware sized for the weight, so the gate still latches next year.
Lines and heights confirmed before digging
Property line, slope, and utility locates get sorted out before a hole goes in the ground. It is a lot cheaper to move a line on paper than after the concrete is set.

It is a fair thing to be careful about, and we would rather answer it straight than talk around it. Shekinah Renovations is a newer company name. Jimmy is not new to the trade. He started at fourteen, learned it from his stepdad, and has been doing this work ever since.
- Every photo and video on this site is Jimmy's own work around the OKC metro. None of it is stock.
- We will put you in touch with people we have done work for. Ask on the walkthrough.
- Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. Where a trade is licensed, we say so and bring in the right partner.
- The estimate is free and written down. You know the number, and the scope, before anything starts.
- The person who quotes your job is the person who shows up to do it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We come out, look at the work, and give you a written price at no charge. You are not signed up for anything by asking.
We do not publish flat prices because no two jobs are the same. Square footage, materials, access, and what we find behind the walls all change the number. Call or text (405) 532-3348 and we will come out and price your actual job.
Small repairs can often be fit in within a few days. Larger remodels start once the estimate is approved and materials are in. Call or text and we will give you a real date rather than a guess.
Yes. Jimmy Garces Jr. is on the job, not just at the sales call. That is also why we can handle several trades on one project instead of handing you off between companies.
The Oklahoma City metro plus about an hour's drive in any direction: Oklahoma City, Edmond, Moore, Norman, Yukon, Mustang, Midwest City, Del City, Bethany, Warr Acres and the smaller towns around them. If you are past that ring, call or text anyway. A job can still be worth the drive.
Fair question, and it is the one we would ask too. Shekinah Renovations is a newer company, but Jimmy is not new to the trade. He started at fourteen, learned it from his stepdad, and has been doing this work ever since. Every photo and video on this site is his own work around the metro, not stock, and we are glad to put you in touch with people we have worked for. He is also the one who shows up for the estimate and the one on site while the work happens.
Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. For the trades the Construction Industries Board does license, Jimmy has applications in progress and we will tell you that plainly rather than imply otherwise. Where a job requires a licensed plumber, electrician, or registered roofer, we bring in the right trade partner for that portion. Ask about your specific job and you will get a straight answer.
Usually the same day. Call or text (405) 532-3348 and it reaches Jimmy directly. If he is on a job site with his hands full he will get back to you as soon as he is off it. Most people call two or three contractors and hire whoever actually answers, so we try to be that one.
