Trim and Finish Carpentry
Finish carpentry is the visible layer of everything else. Baseboard, casing, crown molding, chair rail, window stools and aprons, shoe molding after a floor goes in, and door and window trim all get cut, coped where the corner calls for it rather than mitered on an out of square wall, fastened into framing, then filled, caulked and sanded so the joints disappear under paint. Houses settle in Oklahoma clay and very few walls and ceilings are actually square, so scribing and back-cutting are the daily reality of this work. Upgrading builder-grade trim to a taller base and a heavier casing is one of the cheapest ways to make a house feel more finished.
Built-Ins, Shelving and Custom Pieces
Built-ins are where woodwork pays for itself, because they use space a piece of furniture cannot. Bookcases flanking a fireplace, a mudroom bench with cubbies and hooks, a window seat with storage underneath, a pantry wall, closet shelving and hanging systems, a floating shelf run in a kitchen, a bar or a coffee area built into a nook. These get built to the actual dimensions of your walls rather than to a catalog size, scribed to the wall and floor so there are no gaps, and finished to match or contrast with the trim already in the house. Doors, Accent Walls and Interior Details
Interior door replacement, pre-hung or slab, is straightforward work that changes a hallway completely, and it is the kind of job where a door that swings and latches correctly depends on shimming the jamb plumb rather than on the door itself. Board and batten, shiplap, slat walls and wainscoting are popular accent treatments and they are quick to install, though the layout has to be planned around outlets, switches and the room dimensions so the pattern comes out even at both ends. Stair trim, handrails and newel posts are also in scope, and those are safety items as much as aesthetic ones.
Exterior Woodwork and Rot Repair
Outside, the wood that fails first is fascia, soffit, window and door trim, porch columns, and the bottom of siding where it sits too close to grade or takes splashback. Oklahoma sun and wind driven rain find every unsealed end grain and every failed caulk joint. The right repair is to cut out the rot back to sound material, replace it with treated or rot resistant material, prime all six sides of the new piece including the cut ends, then caulk and paint. Filling rot with body filler and painting over it is a repair that lasts one season, and we will not sell you that.

Scribed and fit to the house you have
Walls bow, floors slope, and corners are rarely ninety degrees. Good trim is cut to the conditions in front of it, not to what the room should theoretically measure.
Fasteners and material picked for where it lives
Exterior and ground-contact work needs rated material and hardware that will not corrode out. Using interior-grade material outside is cheap on day one and expensive in five years.
Decks flashed where they meet the house
A ledger fastened to a wall without flashing is a slow leak into the framing. That connection is the most important part of a deck and the least visible.
Joints tight, then finished
Miters closed, nail holes filled, edges sanded, and the work left ready for finish rather than left for you to deal with.

Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. For the trades the Construction Industries Board does license, Jimmy has applications in progress and we will tell you that plainly rather than imply otherwise. Where a job requires a licensed plumber, electrician, or registered roofer, we bring in the right trade partner for that portion. Ask about your specific job and you will get a straight answer.
