Between what it costs to sell, move and buy back into the same school district, an addition is often the cheaper way to get the space — and you keep your interest rate. The addition's slab is poured on properly prepared ground with reinforcement that matches the load, and the grading around it is planned so roof and surface water move away from both the new and the old foundation. The seam where addition meets house is the most failure-prone joint in this kind of work, and getting the foundation and drainage right is what keeps that seam from ever telling on itself through cracked drywall or a sticking door.
Subdivision Rules and Permits
Many Mustang neighborhoods have HOA covenants with rules about exterior changes, and the city has its own permitting process. The Oklahoma City metro plus about an hour's drive in any direction: Oklahoma City, Edmond, Moore, Norman, Yukon, Mustang, Midwest City, Del City, Bethany, Warr Acres and the smaller towns around them. If you are past that ring, call or text anyway. A job can still be worth the drive.

Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. For the trades the Construction Industries Board does license, Jimmy has applications in progress and we will tell you that plainly rather than imply otherwise. Where a job requires a licensed plumber, electrician, or registered roofer, we bring in the right trade partner for that portion. Ask about your specific job and you will get a straight answer.
