Shekinah Renovations LLC · Service
General Contractor Serving Oklahoma City
Shekinah Renovations LLC is a general contractor and remodeling company working across the Oklahoma City metro. Owner Jimmy Garces Jr. runs every job personally, inside the house and outside of it, from concrete driveways and patios to bathrooms, kitchens, drywall, texture, paint, flooring, roofing and fencing. If you can picture what you want your home to look like, the job here is to make that vision real and to leave you satisfied with the result. Estimates are free, and the first conversation costs you nothing but the phone call.
One Contractor for Inside and Outside Work
Most homeowners in the metro end up juggling three or four trades on a single project. A bathroom gets torn out, then the drywall crew has to be scheduled, then the tile setter, then a painter, then somebody has to fix the floor where the old tub sat. Shekinah Renovations handles that whole sequence. Concrete, drywall and texture, paint, tile, flooring, showers, fencing, woodwork and roof work all sit under one roof, which means one point of contact, one schedule, and one person accountable for how the finished space looks. That matters most on remodels where trades overlap, because the seams between trades are where jobs usually go sideways.
How a Project Actually Starts
Call or text (405) 532-3348 and describe what you are trying to do. Jimmy comes out to look at the space in person, because square footage on a phone call and square footage in a real room are two different things. He walks the area, measures, checks what is behind the surface where that is possible, and talks through material options at different price points. You get a written estimate for free, with the scope spelled out so you know what is included and what is not. Nothing gets ordered and no demolition starts until you have said yes to the number and the scope.
Building for Oklahoma Conditions
Central Oklahoma is hard on houses. The expansive red clay under most metro neighborhoods swells when it rains and shrinks when it dries, which is why slabs move, driveways crack, and interior drywall opens up hairline seams at the corners of doors and windows. Spring brings hail and straight line wind that finds every weak spot on a roof. Summer humidity and winter dry heat move wood flooring and trim through a real seasonal cycle. Work that ignores those conditions looks great for one season and then fails. Control joints in flat concrete, correct expansion gaps on plank flooring, proper prep before paint and a sound substrate before tile are not upsells, they are the reason the work lasts.

The part you cannot see is the part that fails
Nearly every complaint we hear about a previous contractor is about something underneath: prep that got skipped, waterproofing that was never there, a texture nobody matched. Those are the parts that decide whether work is still good in ten years.
Prep gets the time it needs
Base compaction under concrete, subfloor repair under flooring, surface prep under paint, waterproofing behind tile. It is the invisible half of every trade and the half that decides how long the visible half lasts.
One person is accountable start to finish
Jimmy does the walkthrough, writes the estimate, and is on site while the work happens. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson, a scheduler, and a crew who never spoke to you.
Surprises reach you before they become line items
Rotted subfloor, a hidden leak, wiring that is not to code. When we find something, work stops and you get a call with what it is and what it costs before we touch it.
The site is clean when we leave
Debris hauled off, floors swept, the room put back. The job is finished when you cannot tell we were there except for the work.

Letting someone you found online into your house
It is a fair thing to be careful about, and we would rather answer it straight than talk around it. Shekinah Renovations is a newer company name. Jimmy is not new to the trade. He started at fourteen, learned it from his stepdad, and has been doing this work ever since.
- Every photo and video on this site is Jimmy's own work around the OKC metro. None of it is stock.
- We will put you in touch with people we have done work for. Ask on the walkthrough.
- Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. Where a trade is licensed, we say so and bring in the right partner.
- The estimate is free and written down. You know the number, and the scope, before anything starts.
- The person who quotes your job is the person who shows up to do it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Oklahoma City and the surrounding metro, including Edmond, Moore, Norman, Yukon, Mustang, Midwest City, Del City, Bethany and Warr Acres. We are a service-area business, so all work happens at your property. Call or text (405) 532-3348.
No. Estimates are free. Jimmy comes out, looks at the space in person, measures, and gives you a written estimate with the scope spelled out. Nothing is ordered and no demolition starts until you approve the number and the scope.
Yes. Inside work includes bathrooms, kitchens, drywall and texture, paint, flooring, tile and carpentry. Outside work includes concrete driveways and patios, roofing, fencing, windows and landscaping. One contractor for the whole project instead of coordinating several trades yourself.
Call or text (405) 532-3348 and describe what you want done, or send photos through the contact page. We can usually give you a rough range on the phone, then schedule a free in-person estimate.
Both. Some jobs are a single item like a drywall patch or a concrete pad. Others run the full sequence of demolition, plumbing and electrical changes, drywall, texture, tile, flooring and paint. The advantage of one contractor is that the seams between trades are handled rather than left to you.
Fair question, and it is the one we would ask too. Shekinah Renovations is a newer company, but Jimmy is not new to the trade. He started at fourteen, learned it from his stepdad, and has been doing this work ever since. Every photo and video on this site is his own work around the metro, not stock, and we are glad to put you in touch with people we have worked for. He is also the one who shows up for the estimate and the one on site while the work happens.
Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. For the trades the Construction Industries Board does license, Jimmy has applications in progress and we will tell you that plainly rather than imply otherwise. Where a job requires a licensed plumber, electrician, or registered roofer, we bring in the right trade partner for that portion. Ask about your specific job and you will get a straight answer.
Usually the same day. Call or text (405) 532-3348 and it reaches Jimmy directly. If he is on a job site with his hands full he will get back to you as soon as he is off it. Most people call two or three contractors and hire whoever actually answers, so we try to be that one.
