Concrete Sealing & Resurfacing in Oklahoma City
Oklahoma’s clay soil and harsh winters take a toll on concrete. Cracks, flaking, and pitting become inevitable—but tearing out your driveway or patio is costly and disruptive. We restore surfaces with professional sealing or resurfacing, tailored to withstand Oklahoma’s freeze-thaw cycles and clay soil challenges.

What Causes Concrete Damage in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma’s climate accelerates concrete deterioration. Freeze-thaw cycles expand moisture in cracks, while clay soil shifts undermine slabs. UV exposure and deicing salts further degrade surfaces. Without protection, even new concrete develops spalling and erosion within years. Our process starts with identifying these stressors to create long-term solutions specific to your property’s needs.
How We Prepare and Apply Sealants
We begin with high-pressure washing to strip dirt, oils, and old sealants. Cracks and gaps are filled with polyurethane or hydraulic cement. For sealing, we apply a polymer-modified acrylic sealer in two coats—this bonds deeply to prevent water infiltration. For resurfacing, a cement-based overlay is troweled on, then stamped or stained to match your design. All materials are selected for flexibility to handle Oklahoma’s soil movement and temperature swings.

Replacing a damaged concrete slab costs 3-4x more than resurfacing, plus it generates landfill waste and disrupts landscaping. Our resurfacing technique adds a 3/8"-thick wear layer that bonds to existing concrete, restoring appearance and function without excavation. It’s ideal for uneven patios, faded driveways, or walkways with minor cracks. The result is a smooth, durable surface that lasts 8-12 years with proper maintenance.
Can Resurfacing Match Your Existing Concrete?
Yes. We use color hardeners and acid stains to blend with your current slab’s tone. Textures can be smoothed or enhanced with exposed aggregate or stamped patterns. For driveways, we apply skid-resistant aggregates in high-traffic zones. Every project includes a sample approval step to ensure the final look meets your expectations before full application begins.
Who We Serve in the OKC Metro
We specialize in residential concrete solutions across Oklahoma City, Edmond, Moore, Norman, Del City, and surrounding areas. Our team works around your schedule, completing most driveways in 1-2 days and patios in 2-3. We prep surfaces to handle Oklahoma’s unique soil conditions and weather extremes, ensuring your investment resists future damage from clay expansion, hail impact, or sudden freezes.
Why most concrete around here cracks
Central Oklahoma soil shifts and settles, and concrete moves with it. Slabs do not fail because concrete is weak, they fail because nobody planned for that movement. Here is what we do about it.
The base gets prepped and compacted
A slab is only as good as what it sits on. Loose or uneven fill is why a driveway sinks at one corner two winters later. We excavate to depth, bring the base up in compacted lifts, and check it before any forms go in.
Steel goes in, not just wire mesh
Wire mesh laid on the ground and walked on during the pour ends up at the bottom of the slab doing nothing. Reinforcement has to sit in the middle of the concrete to do its job, and for driveways and anything carrying vehicle weight we set rebar on chairs.
Control joints cut where the slab needs them
Concrete is going to crack. The whole trade is deciding where. Joints get cut to the right depth and at the right spacing so the slab relieves itself along a clean line instead of across the middle of your patio.
Thickness and finish matched to the use
A patio and a driveway are not the same pour. Drives that take a truck get more thickness and more steel than a walkway does. You get told what the slab is spec'd at before it is poured, in writing.

It is a fair thing to be careful about, and we would rather answer it straight than talk around it. Shekinah Renovations is a newer company name. Jimmy is not new to the trade. He started at fourteen, learned it from his stepdad, and has been doing this work ever since.
- Every photo and video on this site is Jimmy's own work around the OKC metro. None of it is stock.
- We will put you in touch with people we have done work for. Ask on the walkthrough.
- Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. Where a trade is licensed, we say so and bring in the right partner.
- The estimate is free and written down. You know the number, and the scope, before anything starts.
- The person who quotes your job is the person who shows up to do it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We come out, look at the work, and give you a written price at no charge. You are not signed up for anything by asking.
We do not publish flat prices because no two jobs are the same. Square footage, materials, access, and what we find behind the walls all change the number. Call or text (405) 532-3348 and we will come out and price your actual job.
Small repairs can often be fit in within a few days. Larger remodels start once the estimate is approved and materials are in. Call or text and we will give you a real date rather than a guess.
Yes. Jimmy Garces Jr. is on the job, not just at the sales call. That is also why we can handle several trades on one project instead of handing you off between companies.
The Oklahoma City metro plus about an hour's drive in any direction: Oklahoma City, Edmond, Moore, Norman, Yukon, Mustang, Midwest City, Del City, Bethany, Warr Acres and the smaller towns around them. If you are past that ring, call or text anyway. A job can still be worth the drive.
Fair question, and it is the one we would ask too. Shekinah Renovations is a newer company, but Jimmy is not new to the trade. He started at fourteen, learned it from his stepdad, and has been doing this work ever since. Every photo and video on this site is his own work around the metro, not stock, and we are glad to put you in touch with people we have worked for. He is also the one who shows up for the estimate and the one on site while the work happens.
Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. For the trades the Construction Industries Board does license, Jimmy has applications in progress and we will tell you that plainly rather than imply otherwise. Where a job requires a licensed plumber, electrician, or registered roofer, we bring in the right trade partner for that portion. Ask about your specific job and you will get a straight answer.
Usually the same day. Call or text (405) 532-3348 and it reaches Jimmy directly. If he is on a job site with his hands full he will get back to you as soon as he is off it. Most people call two or three contractors and hire whoever actually answers, so we try to be that one.
