Window Replacement in Oklahoma City & Metro Suburbs
Drafty single-pane windows and failed seals let Oklahoma's wind, hail, and temperature swings ruin your comfort. We replace old windows with durable vinyl or wood models that block drafts and lower energy bills. From Edmond to Norman, we handle the full job—removal, installation, and finish work—so you get a cleaner, quieter home.

Why Replace Old Windows in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's weather is hard on windows. Wind-driven rain, clay soil expansion, and freeze-thaw cycles stress old frames, causing drafts and water intrusion. Failed seals let moisture in, leading to rot and mold. Vinyl or wood replacements with multi-pane glass resist these stressors while improving insulation. Properly flashed and trimmed new windows prevent leaks around joints—a common failure point in older homes.
How the Window Replacement Process Works
We start by removing old windows carefully to avoid damaging surrounding walls. Next, we install new window openings with pressure-treated headers for durability. The new vinyl or wood windows are set with shims for plumb alignment, then flashed with ice-and-water shield at the rough opening to block moisture. After exterior trim, we finish the interior with your choice of paint or paneling. For homes in Moore or Yukon, we account for local soil conditions in our installation approach.

Our vinyl windows use 1-1/8” thick frames with fused corners for strength, while wood options feature primed Douglas fir that can be finished on-site. Both styles include Low-E glass with argon gas fill to reduce heat transfer. We use stainless steel screws instead of regular sheet metal screws to prevent rust in humid conditions. For flashing, we apply self-adhered rubberized asphalt under metal drip edge to create a weather-resistant barrier—a key detail for Oklahoma's sudden storms.
Can New Windows Improve Energy Efficiency?
Yes—replacing single-pane windows with modern double- or triple-glazed units can cut heating and cooling costs by 10-25%. The improved insulation reduces the load on HVAC systems, which is especially helpful during Oklahoma's extreme temperature swings. We also install windows with proper air-sealing to prevent the 30-50% energy loss that can occur through gaps around old frames. For homes near Lake Hefner or in Warr Acres, this means fewer drafts during winter inversions.
Who Handles the Trim and Flashing in Oklahoma City?
Our in-house team installs all exterior trim using pressure-treated lumber rated for ground contact, ensuring it resists rot from clay soil moisture. We cut and fit trim to match your home's style, then apply paint-grade exterior caulk at all joints. For flashing, we use step-flashing at intersecting planes and continuous base flashing to direct water away—a technique that prevents the water damage we often see in poorly installed window replacements. This attention to detail keeps your home protected in Midwest City or Del City.
The part you cannot see is the part that fails
Nearly every complaint we hear about a previous contractor is about something underneath: prep that got skipped, waterproofing that was never there, a texture nobody matched. Those are the parts that decide whether work is still good in ten years.
Prep gets the time it needs
Base compaction under concrete, subfloor repair under flooring, surface prep under paint, waterproofing behind tile. It is the invisible half of every trade and the half that decides how long the visible half lasts.
One person is accountable start to finish
Jimmy does the walkthrough, writes the estimate, and is on site while the work happens. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson, a scheduler, and a crew who never spoke to you.
Surprises reach you before they become line items
Rotted subfloor, a hidden leak, wiring that is not to code. When we find something, work stops and you get a call with what it is and what it costs before we touch it.
The site is clean when we leave
Debris hauled off, floors swept, the room put back. The job is finished when you cannot tell we were there except for the work.
Letting someone you found online into your house
It is a fair thing to be careful about, and we would rather answer it straight than talk around it. Shekinah Renovations is a newer company name. Jimmy is not new to the trade. He started at fourteen, learned it from his stepdad, and has been doing this work ever since.
- Every photo and video on this site is Jimmy's own work around the OKC metro. None of it is stock.
- We will put you in touch with people we have done work for. Ask on the walkthrough.
- Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. Where a trade is licensed, we say so and bring in the right partner.
- The estimate is free and written down. You know the number, and the scope, before anything starts.
- The person who quotes your job is the person who shows up to do it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We come out, look at the work, and give you a written price at no charge. You are not signed up for anything by asking.
We do not publish flat prices because no two jobs are the same. Square footage, materials, access, and what we find behind the walls all change the number. Call or text (405) 532-3348 and we will come out and price your actual job.
Small repairs can often be fit in within a few days. Larger remodels start once the estimate is approved and materials are in. Call or text and we will give you a real date rather than a guess.
Yes. Jimmy Garces Jr. is on the job, not just at the sales call. That is also why we can handle several trades on one project instead of handing you off between companies.
The Oklahoma City metro plus about an hour's drive in any direction: Oklahoma City, Edmond, Moore, Norman, Yukon, Mustang, Midwest City, Del City, Bethany, Warr Acres and the smaller towns around them. If you are past that ring, call or text anyway. A job can still be worth the drive.
Fair question, and it is the one we would ask too. Shekinah Renovations is a newer company, but Jimmy is not new to the trade. He started at fourteen, learned it from his stepdad, and has been doing this work ever since. Every photo and video on this site is his own work around the metro, not stock, and we are glad to put you in touch with people we have worked for. He is also the one who shows up for the estimate and the one on site while the work happens.
Oklahoma does not issue a general contractor or remodeler license, so for most of what we do there is no state license to hold. For the trades the Construction Industries Board does license, Jimmy has applications in progress and we will tell you that plainly rather than imply otherwise. Where a job requires a licensed plumber, electrician, or registered roofer, we bring in the right trade partner for that portion. Ask about your specific job and you will get a straight answer.
Usually the same day. Call or text (405) 532-3348 and it reaches Jimmy directly. If he is on a job site with his hands full he will get back to you as soon as he is off it. Most people call two or three contractors and hire whoever actually answers, so we try to be that one.
